DDH History: The band was formed in Providence RI way back in '84. Jon Rose on Guitar, Tod A on Bass and Vox and I was on drums. Tod told me we would be the best thing in Providence and dominate the music scene there. He was right. Our live show and some recordings were reviewed by local papers and we were touted as the best live show (at the time) in Providence. Our most memorable gigs were, opening for Big Black, I played with a 103 degree fever, and a weird gig with Sonic Youth members in Boston. Thurston Moore did a solo set and Lee Renaldo and Steve Shelly played with boom boxes and tape loops.
Steve Albini of Big Black fame was going to put out our record. Whether it was lack of money or he was too busy who knows but in the end it was never released. I however sold my only test pressing to a guy in Germany for... an amount $ $ $.
We moved to NYC after Jon and I graduated from RISD. We had one gig at CBGBs. The bootleg of this recording is no longer available on this site.
The sign behind us in the promo photo was the work of Tod A. I think he did it around 2 in the morning. It's a sign right down the street from where we all lived in Brooklyn.
